7 Brew Coffee is making moves to enter the Garden State, with another drive-thru set for South Jersey.
The project at 528 Berlin-Cross Keys Road in Winslow will replace a former Fulton Bank branch. Zach Rosskamm and Shunori Ramanathan from Gebruder Partners comprise the franchise team behind the location. Doren Development will develop the property.
Winslow Township approved the project March 20, which now awaits county approval. That decision is expected in about two months.
Founded in 2017, 7 Brew prides itself on crafting its coffee with a heavy dose of kindness, as well as an emphasis on service, speed, quality, energy and atmosphere. Last year, QSR Magazine’s “Breakout Brand of 2023” scored a growth investment from Blackstone. Across its footprint, the Arkansas-based franchise business has 360 stands in 32 states, according to its website.
Until recently, the Garden State was not on that list.
Earlier this year, Rosskamm and Ramanathan started work on 7 Brew’s first New Jersey location in the Turnersville area of Washington Township – and reportedly have more in the South Jersey/Philadelphia region in the works.
The Winslow plan entails a complete demolition of the existing, vacant Fulton Bank building. And the new 7 Brew will occupy much less space. The replacement footprint will stand 510 square feet with a 260-square-foot cooler on the side of the building. The project also includes eight parking spaces. The existing Fulton Bank building is 2,804 square feet.
Situated at the corner of Berlin-Cross Keys and Chews Landing roads, at a signalized intersection, the under 1-acre property boasts 30,000 vehicles per day passing the site.

If you build it
The new 7 Brew spot is a pre-fabricated build. In fact, that’s how all 7 Brew sites are erected.
According to Creative Modular Construction of Missouri, a preceding entity partnered with 7 Brew Coffee in 2020 to become exclusive building manufacturer for the brand. CMC says it and 7 Brew launch about one new location each week, which it expects to expand to two each week “soon.”
Generally speaking, modular construction projects can cost less than traditional builds.
In its 2024 annual report, the Modular Building Institute noted, “With modular, fewer labor hours are needed to complete a comparable project, and waste is significantly reduced. The shortened modular construction schedule can reduce the time needed for a construction loan and dramatically advance the occupancy date …”
This project marks Doren Development’s first with 7 Brew, but more are expected.
7 Brew did not return a request for more information regarding the latest South Jersey location or its Garden State growth.
